On November 5th, 2022, I attended Electronica Fest 13, held at the System Source Computer Museum in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
I brought my Eurorack system and created a patch in the jamming room. I love plug ‘n playrooms where others can interconnect cables and patch together. It’s like board game night, except you bring your synthesizers instead.
Lots of original music was performed. I loved it. The tradition harks back to West Coast modular and to the classic “cosmic music” discovery of electronic music. I love hobbyists into technology and talking about it.
I enjoyed the tracker lecture by Brendan Becker, as well as Don Slepian’s lecture on Plogue’s Bidule.
I met many new friends, and I hope to attend the next Electronic Fest soon.
The System Source Computer Museum is beautiful. If you haven’t visited the place, you should. The event and festival reaffirmed my interest as a black hat philosopher and artist. Technology will win!
Here is a gallery of pictures I took:
…And here is an awesome video I recorded on my Super8 camera!:
Can’t wait for the next event!
