How to download, view, and read pilleater's Twitter archive

Twitter is not the best platform when it comes to viewing previous tweets and finding important records of digital letters and memes.

…Have no fear! pilleater has saved his entire Twitter archive for viewing! You can download the archive at https://archive.org/details/pilleatertwitterarchive6.

The Twitter archive will update once in a while.

The current Twitter account can be viewed at www.twitter.com/realpilleater.

First, download the pilleater’s Twitter archive at that link.

The file is about 6MB.

Second, unzip the file.

The file contents should look like this:

To run the “Archive Explorer” application, click on the “index.html” file.

You should now see a page like this:

This GUI allows you to go all the back to 2016 to view the very first tweets pilleater wrote on Twitter. Plus, each tweet links back to the original hyperlink and source.

You can also do a keyword search at the top bar with “search in all tweets.”

It is not necessary to run the Archive Explorer application to view pilleater’s tweets. You can gain raw data access to the written tweets by accessing the .csv file.

It should look like this:

The .csv file can be opened in Microsoft Excel, or any spreadsheet program that can view the text. Everything else in the file helps retain the operation of Archive Explorer that opens “tweets.csv.”
